Seven questions that come up most. If yours isn't here, write to contact@aline.sh — one person reads it, usually the same day. Put Fripe in the subject line, since the same inbox covers more than one app.
How do credits work?
One credit covers one finished listing. It is spent at the moment the title and description are generated for the first time, and everything around that is free: retaking the photo, changing any of the six chips, editing the text by hand, and regenerating the whole thing as many times as you like. If a listing is still open, it costs nothing more, however long you fiddle with it.
Credits don't expire, and the first three listings are free so you can find out whether the app is worth $2.99 before paying for it.
Why isn't there a subscription?
Because selling clothes is bursty. Most people clear a wardrobe over a weekend, list fifteen things, and then don't open the app again for four months. A monthly charge would bill you hardest during the months you don't use it, and it would push us to add reasons to come back rather than to make each listing faster. Buying twenty credits for $2.99 and forgetting about it is the honest shape for this.
Why do I copy and paste instead of posting straight to Vinted?
Vinted has no public posting interface, so the only way to publish automatically would be to hold your Vinted login and act as you. That would mean an account on our side, your credentials on our servers, and your photos passing through them — the exact three things this app exists to avoid.
Copy and paste costs you about eight seconds per listing and keeps you the only party in the transaction. You also see the text before it goes live, which is worth having.
A purchase failed or didn't arrive. What now?
If Apple's sheet closes without the balance updating, nothing was charged — the credits and the payment move together. Open the credits screen again and tap Restore; the app re-asks Apple for any purchase it missed, which covers the usual case of a payment that completed while the phone lost signal.
If a charge appears on your Apple Account and the credits still don't, write to us with the date and amount. Because the balance lives in your private iCloud container, we cannot add credits by hand, but we can tell you what went wrong and Apple can refund it.
Does Family Sharing cover credits?
No. Apple excludes consumable purchases from Family Sharing, and credits are consumables, so a pack bought by one family member cannot be shared with another. Each person's balance is tied to their own Apple Account and their own iCloud. Everyone in a family does get their own three free listings.
I got a new phone. Do I lose my credits?
No, as long as both phones are signed into the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive on. The balance syncs through your own iCloud, so it appears on the new device shortly after you install the app. If iCloud Drive is off, the balance stays on the old phone — turn it on before you migrate, or tap Restore afterwards.
The description got a detail wrong. Can I fix it?
Yes, and it costs nothing. Every field is editable before you copy it, the six chips can be changed and the text regenerated, and a bad reading is usually a lighting problem — reshoot flat, in daylight, against a plain surface. Fripe reads what it can see and never invents a measurement or a brand, so anything it can't tell is left for you to type.
