Terms
These are the terms for using Fripe, written in the plainest language we could manage. Installing the app means you accept them. If something here is unclear, ask us before you buy credits rather than after.
Who we are
Fripe is made and published by Aline Shell, a one-person software studio. Where these terms say "we", that is who they mean, and where they say "you", they mean whoever is holding the phone.
What the app does
Fripe turns a photograph of a garment into a suggested title and description for a second-hand listing, on the device, for you to copy and paste wherever you sell. It is a drafting tool. It does not post anything on your behalf, is not affiliated with Vinted or any other marketplace, and does not represent that a listing it drafts will be accepted, ranked, or sold.
No account
There is nothing to register for and nothing to log into, so there is no account for us to suspend and no way for you to be locked out. The flip side is that we cannot identify you, recover anything for you, or move anything between devices on your behalf.
Credits and payment
The first three listings are free. After that, one credit is spent per finished listing; retakes, chip changes, manual edits and regenerating are free. Credit packs are consumable in-app purchases sold by Apple at $2.99 for 20 credits or $5 for 50, in local currency at Apple's published rates. Prices can change, but a pack you have already bought is unaffected.
Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or resold, and do not expire. Because Apple excludes consumables from Family Sharing, credits cannot be shared between family members. Your balance is held in your own private iCloud container, which we cannot read or modify.
Refunds
Apple is the seller of record, so refunds are requested from Apple, not from us — reportaproblem.apple.com handles them, and their decision is final. We are happy to look into what happened either way, and we will tell you honestly if the app was at fault. Consumer-law rights in your country apply on top of this and are not affected by it.
Your listings are yours
You keep every right in your photographs and in the text the app drafts for you. We claim no licence over either, and could not use them if we wanted to, since neither ever reaches us. Use them commercially, edit them, publish them anywhere.
What you're responsible for
A draft is not a description. You are responsible for what you publish: that the item is yours to sell, that the condition, size, brand and measurements are accurate, and that the listing follows the rules of whichever marketplace you post it on and the consumer law where you are. Read what the app wrote before you paste it, and correct anything it got wrong.
Don't use Fripe to draft listings for counterfeit goods, stolen goods, or anything you are not permitted to sell.
What we don't promise
The app is provided as it is. We don't promise that a draft will be accurate, that it will suit a particular marketplace, that it will help anything sell, or that the app will be free of faults. On-device recognition gets things wrong, especially in poor light, which is why every field is editable.
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected to the app is limited to what you actually paid us for credits in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited legally.
Changes and endings
The app will change as it improves, and these terms may change with it; the date at the top says when. If a change materially affects credits you have already bought, it will be announced in the app. You can stop using Fripe at any time by deleting it, which removes the app's photos and drafts from the device. If we ever discontinue the app, we will say so on this site and leave it working on devices that have it.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of the place where Aline Shell is established, without displacing consumer protections you have at home. Apple's own App Store terms also apply to your download and purchases. Anything else: contact@aline.sh, with Fripe in the subject line.
